The app behind the workshop
CosNFX · Wear OS · Nov 2026
CosNFX turns a standalone Wear OS watch into your costume's sound rig: a natural gesture fires a themed effect, straight from the watch — no phone hotspot, no internet, no prop in your hand.
The shapes of it
- 30 identities, free. Superhero, Mage, Reaper, Pyromancer, Pirate, Mech-Pilot… each with its own seven-sound kit, color and cinematic backdrop. No two kits share a sound.
- Seven gestures on pads 1–7. Underhand, Overhand, Down-punch (the superhero landing), Strike, Fist clench, Fist pump, Raise — record a gesture once and the app auto-aims the detector at 55% of your measured peak.
- Mission Control in the browser. The watch serves its own console: stage the rig, run the show, browse the library, check the system — from any laptop on the same network.
- Visuals that answer the gesture. 38 fullscreen animations on the watch itself, identity-specific gesture bursts, combo chains with wait steps for a finisher.
- Pro, once. $9.99 one-time (each Pro tool runs 3× free first): your own sounds, custom-recorded gestures, real prop cues via WLED / Home Assistant / OSC / Art-Net, extra Mission Control screens, and Battle mode — damage, blocking with a held Raise, K.O. at zero.
Where the workshop site fits
The store sells the app; the craft knowledge here stays open. The costume lab rehearses the seven-zone map in the browser, the guides teach the builds that carry the rig, and Build TV stocks the wall with real workshop footage. The build sheets print; they work in pencil.
