Cellar Math privacy policy
The short version
Cellar Math does not collect, store, share or sell any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your phone.
What the app stores
Your batches, readings, reminders, recipes, ingredient prices and label details, your own ingredients and presets, and melanger runs are saved in the app's own storage on your phone. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you uninstall the app, they are deleted with it.
Photos you add to a batch, taken with your camera app or chosen from your photos, are copied into the app's own storage on your phone. The app needs no permission to your camera or photo library for this. Photos are not included in backup files or spreadsheet exports, or in Android's cloud backup, and they are deleted when you delete them in the app or uninstall it.
If your phone backs up app data to your Google account, Android may include this data in that backup. That is handled by Google under your Google account settings, not by Cellar Math.
Backups and exports
When you save a backup or export a spreadsheet, the app writes a file to a place you choose, or hands it to Android's share menu. Where it goes from there is your choice, and is covered by the privacy terms of the app or service you pick.
Notifications, alarms and the widget
Reminders and melanger checks are notifications the app schedules on your phone. They are not sent through any server. If you add the Cellar widget to your home screen, it shows your active batches' names and next reminders there.
Purchases
Cellar Math Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment; the app only asks Google Play whether Pro is owned on your Google account and keeps the answer on your phone. Google's handling of the purchase is covered by Google's privacy policy. The free uses of each Pro tool are counted by the app on your phone and need no payment details.
Feedback email
The app may ask once what would make Pro worth it, and can open an email draft to the developer with the app version and your phone's model filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send that email from your own mail app, and it is then handled like any other email you send.
No accounts, ads or tracking
There is no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no crash-reporting service. Apart from Google Play's purchase check, the app does not use the internet.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
